Kelsey Tyler, LMHC - I

Kelsey Tyler is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Sacred Heart University. Kelsey is dedicated to helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges and process difficult times through empathetic and evidence-based care. She believes counseling should be a compassionate, collaborative space built on strong rapport and trust, where clients feel safe exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful growth. Drawing from three years of experience in inpatient behavioral health and crisis intervention at Day Kimball Hospital, Kelsey brings a grounded, calm presence to her work. She has a strong interest in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing (MI), incorporating mindfulness and holistic techniques such as awareness and breathing exercises. Additionally, Kelsey is passionate about community advocacy, having educated local communities on systemic issues surrounding housing instability and mental health stigma. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences from the University of Connecticut.
